The state of Maharashtra has announced the first case of Zika virus infection, with a lady in the Pune district being identified with the illness. On Friday, the woman, a native of Belsar village in Purandar tehsil, got her test results. According to the study, she was infected with both Zika and Chikungunya.

According to state health department authorities, the lady
patient has recovered fully from the illness. "She and her family members
show no symptoms," the letter announced in a statement.
